The Community Services Bureau is charged with overall
responsibility for the development, coordination and conduct of Crime Prevention and Community Relations programs involving
crime reduction and police/community understanding.
Major tasks and activities include:
- The organization
and maintenance of Neighborhood Crime Watch groups and the provision of residential/business security surveys.

The development and presentation of prevention outreach and special interest programs serving school children, senior
citizens, church and civic organizations, tenant associations and local business groups.
- The handling of citizen
complaint cases requiring impartial dispute arbitration and/or Polish/Spanish-speaking interpretation.
