NBPD has been fortunate to have lost "only" two of our officers in the line of duty, out of the over 8,600
men and women who have worn the badge since 1871. They are remembered every year at our Police Memorial Day ceremony
at NBPD during Police Week in May. The ceremony is open to the public. Below, find the story behind each of the
