| Halloween Safety Tips |

1- An Adult should always accompany very young children 2- Confine trick –or –treating to known neighborhoods. 3- Advise children never to enter any home unless it is a family member’s or trusted friend of the family. 4- Be aware that costumes may upset pets causing them to bite. 5- Children should be instructed to walk on sidewalks not across property lawns. 6- Only visit homes with lights on. 7- Wear light colored costumes so drivers can see you. 8- Always carry a flashlight or glow stick when out after dark. 9- Make sure costumes fits properly. A costume too big can be a tripping hazard. 10- Always cross the street at well lit crosswalks. 11- If your treats are stolen from you call the police. 12- Use face paint instead of a mask that may hamper the child’s vision. 13- Inspect and do not eat any unwrapped food item or any possibly tampered with candy. 14. Respect private property and be courteous to the people who participate in Halloween activities so that this tradition may continue safely and joyfully for all those involved. |
