TRIAD is a three way partnership between Law Enforcement, senior citizens and support/protective service agencies who work together to reduce criminal victimation of older citizens and to enhance the delivery of Law Enforcement services to this population. If focuses on reducing unwarranted fear of crime and improving the quality of life for seniors. Our TRIAD is tailored to meet the needs of our community. TRIAD is an integral part of policing. The American Association of Retired Persons (RSVP) International Association of Chief’s of Police and the National Sheriff’s Association signed a cooperative agreement in 1988 to work together to reduce the fear of crime affecting older persons. This, they believe is true community policing, providing better service to a population which appreciates , respects, and supports law enforcement.
TRIAD would like to give special thanks to Chief William Gagliardi and Mayor Timothy O'Brien for their on-going support of TRIAD. “Every time a senior citizen passes on, a library closes”- unknown author “Enjoy life- it has an expiration date”-unknown author “Cops are like solders- they go beyond the limits of what s normal so they can somehow keep life meaningful for the rest of us” - By Patricia Cornwell 2010
